Introducing Protesoft Corporation

Protesoft combines knowledge of process engineering, software technology and software project management to provide innovative technical software solutions for the process industry. Protesoft’s principal consultant, Tom Teague, is a chemical engineer with over 20 years of experience in managing, developing and supporting process engineering software applications and 15 years experience with data-centered approaches to process software integration. Teague founded Protesoft Corporation after spending more than 18 years with Exxon Production Research Company, where he was responsible for Exxon’s worldwide upstream petroleum production and process engineering technical software. Teague is currently serving as the Technical Director for the Process Data eXchange Institute, or pdXi.  Teague is also affiliated with Texas A&M University, where he teaches the senior-level Chemical Engineering Plant Design course.

Tom Teague has actively participated in the Process Data eXchange Institute (pdXi) throughout its 10-year history. pdXi is working towards creating industry-wide standards to automate the exchange of process engineering technical data, the impact of which could be quite significant to the process industries. As the pdXi Technical Director, Tom is well acquainted with the technical work products of pdXi and how they can be effectively applied by process industry companies.

In the data integration area, Tom Teague, founder of Protesoft works closely with John Baldwin, founder of ProInfoTech, Inc. Baldwin has 30 years of process industry experience related to process engineering software and data integration. The continued involvement of both companies with pdXi ensures that Protesoft and ProInfoTech remain at the forefront of knowledge for industry-wide data integration. Additionally, Tom Teague of Protesoft works with Rurik Turton, principal of ALAR Engineering Software, Inc. to develop cost-effective, customized, software solutions for data exchange. Turton has 14 years of experience in process data integration software.

In the software architecture area, Tom Teague works closely with Ed Smetak, who is Partner and Director of Consulting for Nanosoft Corporation. Nanosoft is a Certified Microsoft Solution Provider providing many years of experience and leading edge expertise in the development of Windows software applications. Smetak has 20 years of engineering and software experience, with over 10 years of C++ object-oriented software experience. With our combined expertise Protesoft and Nanosoft can provide a winning team to develop innovative software solutions to your problems.
